Real-Time Functional Movement

Functional assessment has taken over the fitness industry.  Clients not only appreciate a baseline functional test, but are demanding this as the fitness paradigm of functional training continues to evolve.  A good functional baseline test should be objective, efficient and engaging for both the trainer and the client.  Kinetisense is objective, efficient, engaging, and will take your training to the next level.  Clients will be amazed by this new technology and your improved insight into assessment and correction.  Kinetisense has forever revolutionized the way that fitness trainers will assess and train their clients.

With the Kinetisense Functional Movement System, clients can be assessed at their initial visit with a variety of different tests including the overhead squat, the inline lunge, the broad jump and the palloff press, just to name a few.  With the use of a single Kinect camera the system provides biomechanical data of the frontal, sagittal and transverse planes with a single front on view.  The Kinetisense functional movement system shows joint degrees, joint position, axis tilt, and axis rotation on the screen with a single front on facing Kinect camera.  Kinetisense is the only product of its kind to give data of the joints in the overhead (transverse plane).  Practitioners can use the built-in video analysis and screen capture components of this system. The client can see themselves on the screen in real-time, this means that they can make the appropriate corrections while they are performing the movement.  It is easy to see how Kinetisense is much more than an analysis tool, it is also a valuable training tool by providing immediate biofeedback.

The portability of the system allows you to analyze your client anywhere in the gym.  You can set up the camera on a tripod and analyze your client on the squat rack, on the cable machine, at the track, on the course, anywhere!!  You can analyze any movement by means of video capture and movement capture that is built into the system.  Amazingly, we have developed the movement data to be embedded into the video.  This means that you can return to the video long after your client has left the gym and still capture movement data at any point of the assessment.  The Kinetisense functional movement system creates automatic graphs and reports with the click of a button.  Place your training information and logo at the top of the report to create the ultimate promotional handout.  Watch your client base grow rapidly with Kinetisense.

Functional Range-of-Motion

The Kinetisense Range of Motion system will allow you to analyze over 40 joint ROMs of the body in Real-Time.  The system repeatedly captures the same anatomic landmarks for every assessment and measures joint range-of-motion in real-time. Because the system analyzes joint mobility in real-time this allows for Kinetisense to be used in a variety of training applications.  Set-up the system anywhere in your training facility and give biofeedback to the prescribed joint ROM that you would like the client to move in.  Assess flexibility of the client, checking for asymmetries in joint ROM from left to right.

The ROM module creates automatic graphs and charts that you can use to show your client their progressions as they train under your guidance.  Clients will become motivated and compliant with their training as they seek to improve their overall function.  Partner up with a Kinetisense practitioner in your location to create the ultimate functional training/functional rehab team.

The Posture of Lifting

Many movement specialists agree that the analysis of static posture is a key component of the overall functional analysis evaluation of the client.  Static posture gives insight into the underlying compensation patterns that will directly affect functional movement.  There has never been a product that could analyze posture in Real-Time without the use of wearable sensors, until now.

Use the Kinetisense Real-Time posture system to evaluate your clients posture in lifting, we call this “dynamic posture”.  As the client moves through their repetitions of exercises like arm curls or the lateral shoulder fly’s you will be able to visualize their compensations patterns as they occur.  The Real-Time feedback is invaluable as a training tool for the posture of lifting, reducing compensatory movements and increasing the recruitment of the core stabilizers.  This immediate biofeedback will improve training outcomes and reduce the likelihood of injury.

Kinetisense is the only Real-time posture analysis system on the market. Kinetisense has been proven to be the fastest and most effective solution to analyze the frontal, sagittal, and transverse planes in the body.  The systems automatically locks onto the patient as they stand in front of the system and produces reports and SOAP notes within seconds.

The Transverse Plane, in Real-Time

Unfortunately, many current movement screens require “eyeballing” movement.  It is quite apparent how this lacks objectivity, especially when being assessed by different practitioners.  Eyeballing movement has other limitations as well, we are limited in our assessment as to what we are able to see.  An example of this is the assessment of the overhead squat, we can visually see changes in the frontal plane and sagittal plane with a well trained eye, subjectively of course.  However, unless we are able to stand above our patient and have a “birds eye” view it is nearly impossible to properly assess the transverse plane.  The transverse plane is one of the most important as many compensations in movement occur in this plane.

Kinetisense is the only system to objectively acquire Real-Time movement data of the body in the transverse plane.  The combination of the infrared camera technology, sonar-like capabilities of the camera and the proprietary algorithms of the Kinetisense software allows for accurate movement analysis of the transverse plane, all with one “front-on” facing Kinect camera.  Imagine how this added insight will improve your overall assessment process and selection of your prescribed corrections.
